Head Chef

We are looking for a talented Head Chef to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis at Zitti Restaurant at the vibrant Merchants Street Valletta! The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for menu development.


• Ensuring a high-quality, cost-effective product.


• Hiring, training, and overseeing kitchen staff.


• Train, develop and motivate supervisors and staff to meet and exceed established food preparation standards.


• Providing a positive work environment.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Leadership and management skills, with the ability to work well in a team, lead by example, motivate and lead a team.


• Ability to work well under pressure.


• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.


• Proficient in computer and Microsoft Office programmes and restaurant software.


• Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or similar.


• Food Handling licence B.
