Crew Planner

Wizz Air is a Hungarian multinational ultra-low-cost airline with its Group Head Office in Budapest, Hungary. The airline serves many cities across Europe, as well as some destinations in North Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. Wizz Air was recently set up in Malta and is responsible for Albania, Austria, Italy and Romanian markets. We are now seeking a Crew Planner to join our operations planning team based in Malta.

Purpose of the role
To prepare, track and monitor the overall crew rosters for Flight Deck and Cabin Crew on the bases belonging to the Crew / Base Planner. To prepare crew rosters for each month and to track and check them continuously.

Key responsibilities

• Building flight deck and cabin crew schedules based on the commercial program and duty time limitations


• Optimizing the crew roster to ensure highest crew productivity while adhering to safety and compliance requirements


• Creating rosters keeping in mind fatigue-related considerations


• Updating the personal crew database and the working rule regulations and rest requirements


• Determine the required quantity of cockpit and cabin crew members for any scheduled period


• Oversight of crew resources available to ensure program coverage, operational resilience, and targeted crew utilization levels


• Headcount gap analysis and improvement actions


• Cross-functional cooperation with various stakeholders across the organization (Cabin and Flights Operations, Training department, Human Resources and Recruitment)


• Ad hoc reports and roster feedback or analysis

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Growth mindset and can-do attitude


• Ability to synthesize information into recommendations


• Well-organized with the ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced and dynamic environment


• Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills


• Fluent spoken / written English and optimum IT literacy

Candidates with previous aviation experience would be preferred but not essential, full training will be provided.
