Service Operations Centre Technician

Service Operations Centre is the team responsible for keeping an eye on all our IT and Network services.

This role requires someone with great communication skills and special interest in technology who is willing to start a career in the IT / Networking field. We are looking for a highly motivated team player who is eager to learn new competencies, technologies and processes. This is a great opportunity to step into the technology field.

Key Accountabilities / Key Activities:

• Proactive monitoring of all IT and Networks services in a 24/7 rotation scheme, to ensure high availability and attainment of service levels.


• Provide first level support and troubleshooting on all systems


• Reporting and escalating alarms and equipment outages to field personnel and engineers.


• Maintain SOC procedures, documentation and equipment records.


• Liaise with other sections within the Technology department in order to carry out the support function.


• Liaise with customer care personnel and Technical Helpdesk on subscriber related problems and requests outside of office hours.


• Undergo staff training as required by the company.

Technical / Professional Expertise:

• Good analytical and problem solving ability.


• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite.


• Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).


• Be a team player and ready to work under pressure without supervision.


• Knowledge in IT, Networking and Telecommunications Systems would be considered an asset.


• Be willing to undergo the necessary training.
