IT First Line Support Officer

We are currently looking to recruit an IT First Line Support Officer to join our team on a full-time basis.

Job Outline
The IT First Line Support Officer role serves as the first point of contact for users facing technical issues, providing initial support for computer systems, software, and hardware. They troubleshoot problems, offer resolutions, and escalate more complex issues to higher support levels.

Duties Include

• Provide helpdesk support via phone, email, or ticketing systems.


• Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues.


• Escalate unresolved issues to second-line support teams.


• Assist in user account management, software installations, and IT security compliance.


• Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring smooth IT operations.

Key Skills

• Basic knowledge of networking, hardware, and common operating systems.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools.


• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.


• Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical users.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in IT or related field.


• 1+ year of experience in IT support.


• Desirable: IT certifications like CompTIA A+, Cisco IT Essentials, MCP.
