We are looking for an analytical and highly diligent Payroll Executive to join our HR team. In this role, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for overseeing all payroll-related activities and processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees in accordance with local regulations and company policies.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with local tax and social security regulations and promptly processing all statutory deductions and submissions

  • Collaborating with HR and Finance departments to synchronize payroll-related data

  • Handling and resolving employee payroll queries

  • Preparing and submitting relevant payroll reports and documentation to senior management

  • Staying updated with the latest local regulations and legislations affecting payroll and implement necessary changes

  • Overseeing and managing the payroll administrator, providing training and guidance when necessary

  • Safeguarding the confidentiality and security of all payroll records and information

  • Continually review and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the payroll system

  • Other administrative duties related to the role

  • Exposure to the HR function


Requirements:

  • A minimum of A' level standard of education with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role

  • Knowledge of payroll software tools coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of the Indigo Payroll system will be considered an asset

  • Knowledge of Maltese Employment law

  • Excellent ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written

  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision

  • Ability to work as part of a team, assisting others where necessary to ensure all deadlines are met
