Who We Are
The Villa Bologna Restaurant is an Italian trattoria restaurant in Attard.

The Venue
Located in the gardens of Villa Bologna, one of Malta’s most beautiful palazzo’s, The Villa Bologna Restaurant has three large eating areas including a beautiful garden, a courtyard, indoor area and also a bar.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate Waiter / Waitress to join our team. As part of The Villa Bologna Restaurant team your role is to look after our customers ensuring they have an great time every time they come to our restaurant.

Main Duties

• Welcoming and seating guests, taking guest orders, communicating them effectively to the kitchen, in addition, memorizing the menu and offering recommendations to upsell appetizers, desserts, or drinks.


• Greet customers and hand out menus.


• Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen.


• Make menu recommendations and inform customers of any specials.


• Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared.


• Check that customers are satisfied with their meals.


• Prepare the bill for tables when requested.


• Cash up bills and ensure that the correct amount has been paid.


• Administer change to tables if needed.


• Provide excellent customer service to everyone, anticipating the guests' needs.


• Showing food and beverage knowledge through taking orders and providing advice on ingredients, dietary restrictions and upselling.


• Help with the restaurant pre and post-service set up.

Requirements

• Must have 2-3 years experience working in a high quality hotel or restaurant.


• Must have a passion for food and beverage and guest satisfaction.


• You have to be reliable, flexible, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.


• Fluent in English.


• Available on a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
