Optical Sales Assistant

Tanti Opticians a leading and long-established optical retail company in Malta since 1910, is seeking to recruit a Sales Assistant to work primarily in the Sliema outlet on a full-time reduced hour basis.

As a Sales Assistant, the position will include assisting customers to choose branded spectacles, sunglasses, contact lenses and optical accessories. The role will also include managing doctors’ appointments, the use of a cash register, maintaining stock and ensuring the shop is organised and in good order. There is also the possibility to assist in the office and work in other outlets if and when required.

This post calls for applicants ideally to:

• Have a flair for sales and be customer orientated;


• Have a pleasant personality and smart appearance;


• Be responsible and able to work on own initiative;


• Have a good standard of education;


• Be computer literate;


• Be able to communicate in both English and Maltese;


• Be able to work between 32 to 40 hours a week, Monday to Saturday.

Although training for this position will be provided, previous experience in a similar post will be considered an asset.
