Management Accountant

Our socially impactful non-profit projects include the Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to providing aid and emergency medical relief to refugees and migrants around the world. We also support Xchange, a foundation designed to measure, investigate and document the impact of human movement globally. Based in Malta, Tangiers has been pioneering new ways to manage medical, security and liability risks worldwide since 2006.

We are now looking for a Management Accountant to join our Malta team.

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Undertaking daily duties - bookkeeping, payments, issuing of invoices and ad-hoc requirements.


• Preparation of management accounts, financial statements, VAT returns and compliance.


• Responsible for monthly payroll.


• Issuing of monthly bordereaux to insurance brokers.


• Performing bank, inter-company and other month-end reconciliations as necessary.


• Assisting in the external statutory audit process.


• Leasing with third parties such as banks, auditors, legal etc.

Key Attributes:

• A minimum of two years working experience in a similar role.


• University degree, ACCA or MCAST higher diploma.


• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and advanced knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications including Word and PowerPoint including accounting software such as Xero and Sage.


• Excellent written and spoken English. Spoken and written Italian would be considered an asset.


• Experience in the corporate services sector in Malta will be considered an asset.


• Ability to thrive working as part of a team with minimal supervision and a positive approach towards challenges and problem-solving.
