Sales Assistant

Smith’s Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in finding and purchasing over-the-counter medications, health products, and pharmaceuticals.


• Assist the managing pharmacist with Pharmacy of Your Choice (POYC), checking and placing on shelves.


• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive shopping experience.


• Maintain a clean and organized sales area, including shelves and product displays.


• Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system accurately.


• Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient customer service.


• Stay up to date on product knowledge, promotions, special offers, and effective up-selling and cross-selling of products to customers.


• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for both customers and staff.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not a must.


• Proficient in both English and Maltese languages.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.


• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.


• Candidates must be available to work flexible hours, from 8 am to 10 pm.
