An opportunity has arisen for interested candidates to join PTL Limited as an experienced Software Engineer. Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Product Engineering and Architecture, the successful applicant will join the software development team which develops and maintains tailor-made solutions and in-house products.
The Software Engineer will provide strategic technical input and technical solution designs, develop and unit test solutions that have solid technical architecture and software engineering rigour, and liaise with the customer, account management, business development and services teams.
The Software Engineer shall proactively contribute and develop PTL’s current products according to technical roadmaps; contribute to implementing innovative technologies for greater efficiencies and improved quality; provide analysis, debugging and troubleshooting of third level support calls; and deliver optimised code with excellent performance attributes.

The Requirements
The selected candidate will be a dedicated technology professional who is able to bring ideas, solutions and energy to a team environment. Preferred candidates will possess a degree in Computer Science (MQF level 6 or above) or similar and a minimum of four years of experience working with .NET framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP .NET, MVC 5 and above, Entity Framework, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Angular, React, HTML, CSS, Web APIs (REST and SOAP), GIT and ANSI SQL.
Candidates must possess excellent problem-solving skills and love technical challenges, be self-motivated, have a can-do attitude, be able to multi-task, willing to work offsite at client sites and have experience in an agile development environment.
Candidates who have an active interest and passion in machine learning and AI and have experience with the use of the Microsoft Azure stack will be given preference. Any relevant certifications in the areas stipulated will be considered an asset.
