Polymath & Boffin is seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Financial Controller to join our dynamic team.
Function Description
The professionalism of a Financial Controller is aimed at evaluating the company's activity through the analysis of operative, financial and economic trends.
The main task of a Controller is to monitor the use of resources according to the target to be achieved, reporting discrepancies and proposing improvements.
The activity is essentially carried out through the constant and systematic collection and control of data, managed by means of special systems and programs.
At the end of the analyses and evaluations carried out, the professional provides the management with the so-called ‘management reports’, i.e. a series of fundamental documents for the constant monitoring of company trends and performance.

In order to be able to draw up accurate and real documents and balance sheets, the Financial Controller relies on the reports he receives periodically from the individual company departments on their performance; the data obtained is further processed to produce comprehensive reports for presentation to management.

- Coordination of accounting profiles
- Controlling operations and records so that they comply with budgets and standards
- Monitoring cash flows
- Checking the achievement of financial, economic and operative targets
- Proposing possible improvements to systems and processes
- Assisting auditors during controls

- A good knowledge of systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning), SAP (System Applications and Products) and Microsoft Excel
- The role presupposes a good knowledge of the English language
- Notions of civil and tax law are added to the knowledge that is useful for carrying out the profession
