Procurement Executive

A vacancy has arisen for an Executive in Procurement.

Amongst others, the selected candidate will:

• Oversee the purchasing process;


• Analyze market trends and develop strategies to optimize the procurement of goods and services;


• Ensure security of supply through frequent risk assessments of critical suppliers and by ensuring that alternative suppliers are available;


• Ensures Just In Time (JIT) where applicable;


• Assures correct data in applicable systems and Purchase Orders (POs);


• Follows and carries out all relevant ISO procedures and contributes to their improvement where relevant;


• Challenges and oversees that any stocks carried by the Company for which s/he is responsible are truly necessary;


• Co-ordinates deliveries with the relevant suppliers (including those within the Group if needed) and with end internal customers using approved Company processes;


• Works to ensure that relevant stakeholders are kept up to date with correct minimum information relating to any applicable purchasing milestone or key data figure.

Requirements
Interested candidates ought to be practical yet have an eye for detail and good communication and analytical skills, together with an MQF level 3 in Mathematics and English. Ideally, candidates should also:

• Be certified in a higher MQF level in a relevant subject;


• Have good knowledge of Company software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word;


• Have relevant previous experience. Those with experience in a production process that shares similarities with Playmobil’s are preferred;


• Knowledge of Maltese and Italian will be considered an asset. A formal MQF level in one or both is preferred.

The person selected will be given relevant training on the job including that related to the use of Company software. The role might initially be offered on a definite basis in case the chosen applicant would not be able to demonstrate all the key attributes being sought.
