Job Purpose
The role of the Esports Specialist is to develop and implement a marketing strategy to grow Pinnacle’s esports betting business. This candidate will own the strategy of what forms of content will have the largest impact on the growth of Pinnacle’s esports vertical and improve engagement with our active player base. They will be responsible for producing this content for Pinnacle’s esports social media platforms and website. This role also includes the management of Pinnacle’s Esports Blog and the purpose it serves in the overall esports strategy. This candidate is also responsible for tracking performance metrics and implementing appropriate changes to improve the performance of Pinnacle’s esports social media platforms and website.

Job Purpose
The role of the Esports Specialist is to develop and implement a marketing strategy to grow Pinnacle’s esports betting business. They will be responsible for producing this content for Pinnacle’s esports social media platforms and website. This role also includes the management of Pinnacle’s Esports Blog and the purpose it serves in the overall esports strategy. This candidate is also responsible for tracking performance metrics and implementing appropriate changes to improve the performance of Pinnacle’s esports social media platforms and website.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development of an international esports betting marketing strategy and content calendar that will also support specific requests from Country Managers for localized assets
- Analyze all available data to better understand our esports players and build the overall strategy for improving esports customer retention in collaboration with the CRM team
- Manage and post betting content on Pinnacle’s esports social media accounts which will have the largest impact on our esports betting community, with the goal of growing the player base and improving customer retention
- Track content performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies with the purpose of finding ways to constantly improve – provide monthly KPI recap reports to the Content Manager and key internal stakeholders
- Create and edit compelling short and long-form video betting content which supports the overall esports strategy and helps increase player activity. Original video creation is encouraged
- Create evergreen and event-specific written betting content for the Esports Blog on Pinnacle’s website
- Responsible for publishing all content to Pinnacle’s social media channels and CMS platform
- Manage partnerships with external esports betting content creators and influencers
- Proactively identify and recommend new opportunities, trends, and technologies in social media to keep the brand ahead of the curve, such as the utilization of AI tools
- Engage with our online community to build brand loyalty – monitor and respond to direct messages and comments across Pinnacle’s esports channels
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, CRM, and Localization to ensure consistent messaging and branding
Knowledge and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience in growing revenue for an esports betting company
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience creating esports betting content for a reputable brand, preferably within the iGaming industry
- Excellent knowledge of esports and esports betting
- Up to date with the latest esports social media trends
- Experienced in all aspects of content creation (writing engaging and informative copy, creating graphics, video editing, building a content calendar, etc.)
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop)
- Experienced with content management on CMS platforms
Skills and Experience:
- Comfortable analyzing data and drawing insights to help create a strategy which can influence key stakeholders
- Strong understanding of core financial KPIs and their impact on customer retention
- Excellent editorial skills and experience with creating engaging content on all the major social media platforms (X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
- Outstanding organizational skills to plan out social media content weeks and months in advance
- Strong video and graphic editing skills
- Ability to adapt content for specific platforms
- Basic HTML editing skills and CMS authoring
