Dental Equipment Technician

Page Technology Ltd is an established dental importer and distributor of dental products and equipment, supplying the majority of dental clinics and dental laboratories in Malta and Gozo since 1993. The company represents a number of world-leading brands within the dental field. Due to our development, the company is seeking to recruit a Dental Equipment Technician to join our team, (on a part-time basis), in relation to our current equipment brand portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• To assemble, test and maintain equipment at dental clinics and / or company premises;


• Analyse causes of equipment failures and propose corrective actions;


• Provide hand-over of equipment to dental professionals;


• Perform regular inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions, repairs and replacements;


• Read and understand technical manuals for equipment operations and maintenances;


• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations;


• Develop preventive maintenance procedures to avoid equipment failures;


• Clean and maintain equipment on regular basis at dental clinics and dental labs;


• Provide assistance to clients when needed (face-to-face, by email or by telephone);


• Maintain documentation of equipment maintenance and repair procedures for future reference procedures;


• Maintain inventory control of equipment tools and parts;


• Record-keeping / logging of repairs, servicing and installations.

Requirements:

• Previous work experience in medical or dental equipment / diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent will be given preference;


• Having IT skills will be considered an asset;


• Having flexible hours will also be given preference;


• Own transport, clean and valid driving license;


• The ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines;


• The ability to work independently and as part of a team;


• Be practical;


• Clean police conduct;


• Be willing to travel abroad for training (following the Covid-19 pandemic).

The selected candidate will:

• Be given training (including local training);


• Be given a salary and allowances (incl. mobile, laptop with internet).
