Mekanika is a leading operator in the building and engineering services industry, specialising in mechanical and electrical contracting, HVAC solutions, lifts and escalators, industrial products and facilities management.

The selected candidates’ main responsibilities will include:

• Operate safely bucket trucks, hand tools, and power tools near and around electrical distribution lines.


• Using Ladders safely to access elevated areas.


• Maintaining work site safety by following OSHA guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) while working with hazardous materials or equipment.


• Prepare work sites safely per the operations manual by setting up warning signs and securing the area.


• Install fiber optic cables at elevated heights following detailed schematics Splicing fiber optic cables using a fiber optic fusion splicer at elevated heights and in cramped spaces.


• Knowledge of using an OTDR meter for testing and repairs.


• Fault finding and repair in fibre optic cables and enclosures.


• Installing and splicing fibre optic enclosures according to the diagram.


• Perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.


• Complete job sheets accurately and promptly.

The selected candidate will preferably:

• Have a good command of the English language.


• Possess a clean police conduct and a valid Maltese C1 driving license.


• Have a strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and workplace safety.


• Be self-motivated and reliable.


• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient project completion and adherence to safety standards.


• Interact with customers professionally to address concerns and provide information.


• Work alongside coordinators to gain access to private property as needed for cable installation.
