Due to business growth, Medina Advisory is recruiting a Senior Officer to join its dynamic team.
The role
You will be involved in the following:
Regulatory / Compliance matters
- Taking the lead on Regulatory watch;
- Maintenance of the quarterly Regulatory watch file;
- Ad hoc updates of the AML / CFT Country Risk Assessment tool;
- Liaising with internal and / or external parties on compliance / regulatory aspects;
- Other regulatory / compliance matters.
Liquidation support
- Support key persons in the liquidation services team on, amongst others:
- Weekly cash reconciliations.
- Incoming invoices follow up including:
- Checks against contractual arrangements / accruals;
- Invoice log maintenance;
- Liquidator approval for payments;
- Preparation and processing of payment instructions.
- Maintenance of corporate information, including:
- Preparation of liquidator resolutions (e.g. re: payment of advances on liquidation proceeds);
- Convening notices and proxy forms regarding general meetings of shareholders.
Your experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in the asset management industry;
- Knowledge of EU investment funds and their regulatory frameworks;
- Involvement / familiarity with relevant industry associations in Malta such as the Malta Chamber of Commerce (Financial Services Business Section), Finance Malta or similar.
Your profile
- You are self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
- You have excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities;
- You are able to work as a team but also independently;
- You have an interest in asset management;
- You have excellent communication skills in English (other European languages will be considered an asset);
- You have good knowledge of MS Office packages in particular Excel.
