Malta Air currently has an opening within its graduate trainee programme for a Graduate Trainee - Continued Airworthiness Maintenance Organisation (CAMO) and Safety Office based at our head office in Malta (Pieta). This is a one-year graduate trainee position and the successful candidate will receive excellent exposure within Malta Air’s fast-paced CAMO and Safety departments.
Splitting your time between both departments (50% CAMO / 50% Engineering Safety) you will work within teams that are responsible for maintaining oversight of all aircraft maintenance performed across the Malta Air fleet, as well as promoting the Malta Air engineering safety message across our network to ensure our industry-leading engineering standards.

The Role:
- CAMO - Participate (under supervision) in the:
- Compilation of weekly / monthly reports for the Chief Engineer.
- Maintenance of compliance with all applicable Airworthiness Directives (AD’s), regulation updates and Notices of the Competent Authority (TMCAD).
- Review of maintenance procedures.
- Completion of any other projects as assigned by the Chief Engineer or the Deputy Chief Engineer.
- Engineering Safety - Participate (under supervision) in the:
- Investigation of any events with a potential impact on the safety of the Malta Air operation.
- Preparation of risk assessments.
- Administration of internal safety reporting systems.
- Analysis of trends of safety-related occurrences.
Desired Experience / Qualifications:
- An aviation or equivalent engineering degree.
- Ability to work to deadlines and on own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent English required. Another European language not required but advantageous.
- Flexibility to travel the Malta Air network.
- Must hold a valid EU passport.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt and change quickly.
- Computer literate.
- AMOS and / or Coruson experience not required but would be beneficial.
- Ability to produce reports, prepare and deliver presentations and analyse data.
