Planning Engineer / Aircraft Engineer

The Company is seeking graduate Engineers to join the engineering and planning department. In this position an Engineer will be responsible for all activities involved in the planning or engineering requirements of aircraft maintenance including being part of the project team following an assigned aircraft layover to achieve contracted turnaround times, monitor aircraft progress and critical items that may affect the layover plan and liaise with customers / original equipment manufacturers.

The chosen candidate is expected to:

• Ensure accomplishment of maintenance planning, scheduling, monitoring, work package preparation and control for customer aircraft.


• Liaise internally with other departments to prepare for the upcoming maintenance event.


• Ensure successful achievement of aircraft layover project goals by being an active member in the project team.


• Liaise with production department and aircraft manufacturers to agree required repairs to defects found on aircraft.


• Prepare reports and / or follow engineering issues and assist in defining recovery plans due to unforeseen findings during the layover maintenance.


• Monitor overall job cards and aircraft engineering open issues for a particular aircraft layover project.


• Assist in definition and improvement of working processes by participation in project workshops.

The selected candidates must work on their own initiative, be able to handle multiple tasks in parallel and work under considerable pressure to meet tight deadlines. Applicants must be in possession of a university degree in mechanical, electrical or aeronautical engineering, possess a high level of report writing skills and be highly motivated and dynamic. Good communication skills and experience of managing / coordinating open teams are essential. Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, project management and familiarity with SAP software is considered a asset.
