Assistant Financial Controller

Hotel Santana in Qawra is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join our dynamic Finance team. This role supports the Financial Controller in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports.


• Oversee the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.


• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.


• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation.


• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.


• Supervise and mentor junior finance team members.


• Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights for strategic decisions.


• Implement and maintain robust financial systems and controls.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Minimum of 2 years in a finance role, preferably within the hospitality or similar sectors.


• Strong ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.


• Adept at identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.


• The use and knowledge of Shireburn Financial Manager will be considered as an asset.
