Restaurant Manager (Oceana)

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Restaurant Manager for our Oceana restaurant; the main hotel restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for in-house and external guests. The restaurant serves both buffet and A’ La Carte.

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for:

• Guest Focus:
  
  
  
  • Ensure every guest receives outstanding service and leaves with a memorable dining experience
  
  
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly
  
  
  • Oversee the maintenance of high standards of hygiene, health, and safety in compliance with regulations
  
  
  • Continuously improve guest satisfaction through innovation and attention to detail
  
  
  
  


• Team Focus:
  
  
  
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of staff, including servers and support personnel
  
  
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and cooperation
  
  
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team skills and service standards
  
  
  • Schedule and manage staff shifts, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times
  
  
  
  


• Commercial Focus:
  
  
  
  • Drive the restaurant’s financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue
  
  
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones
  
  
  • Analyze sales figures and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  
  
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to design and promote appealing and profitable menus
  
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry


• Strong understanding of restaurant management, including guest service, staff management, and financial performance


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, make effective decisions quickly and collaborate with the wider hotel team


• Proficiency in restaurant management software and MS Office


• A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to excellence
