Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Tendering) to join our team.

The Quantity Surveyor will work mainly on pre-contract tenders on construction projects, including civil and finishing work within the Tendering department.

Requirements:

• Must be able to read construction drawings and prepare accurate BOQs from such drawings and relative specifications


• Preparation of tender packages


• Request quotes to suppliers and subcontractors


• Preparation of cost reports for tender offers


• Issue clarification letters at the tender stage


• Due to tendering submission deadlines, the candidate may have to work overtime during weekends and public holidays


• Must be knowledgeable on construction and finishes materials


• Maintain records and data associated with specific projects including cost plans, cost studies, analysis, spreadsheets, drawings, and specifications


• Attend meetings as necessary


• Participate in and contribute to workshops to raise issues and concerns, which can be noted during tender stages


• Other matters arising

The chosen must:

• Is knowledgeable on the use of CAD software (ACAD or others)


• Capable of utilizing the Microsft Office suite of products


• Must be fluent in spoken / written English


• Able to multi-task


• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines


• Possess 5 years of experience as a QS in medium-sized to large projects and must have experience as a QS in the local construction industry


• In possession of a driving license

Candidates need to be presently located in Malta.
