Does this sound like you? Here’s what you need to have to match our requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Engineering or Technical IT field;


• Technical knowledge on SDH and Optical transmission systems to be able to design operate and maintain network infrastructure;


• Analytical and problem-solving skills;


• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching;


• One or more programming languages(Shell, Perl, PHP, Python);


• Hands-On experience using Linux OS preferably Redhat and / or Ubuntu;


• Networking: CISCO IOS;


• Willingness to learn with a can-do approach;


• Ability to work well in a team;


• Excellent communication skills;


• Strong analytical abilities and good problem solving skills;


• A clean police conduct;


• A valid driving license.

• Hands on experience in setting up and managing ISP related services like DNS, Firewalling;


• Knowledge with databases;


• Knowledge on Transport infrastructure including NOKIA TMN and HUWEI NCE;


• Industry certification in networking like CCNA / CCNP;


• Able to configure and troubleshoot IP networks, IP routing protocols;

If this describes you that this is a glimpse of what you will be doing:
You will design, build and operate the company's IP and optical transport network with the assistance of your IP Core Manager. You are expected to take prime interest in researching technologies related to Service Provider Network since this role is critical in providing the knowledge required to create a competitive edge and improve efficiency.

• Operating, managing and maintaining the company’s transmission equipment;
  
  
  
  • To build, operate, manage and maintain the company’s SDH and Optical Transport network including:
    GO’s national SDH network;
  
  
  • The various submarine systems;
  
  
  • MPLS POPs located abroad;
  
  
  • DTTV backhaul infrastructure;
  
  
  • SDI transport;
  
  
  • Operate and maintain the related Network Management Systems;
  
  
  
  


• Collecting and analysing statistical data of the network to ensure the appropriate forecasting, dimensioning, and sizing of the various Network elements so as to meet the demand for Service Provisioning as well as maintain the required service levels;


• Implementing appropriate operational procedures in accordance with international norms and standards in order to ensure that system downtime is minimised and a high-level quality of service guaranteed;


• Assisting and liaising with other sections in the design, the build and operation, of customers’ networks;


• Providing on the job training where necessary;


• Providing 3rd level support and liaising directly with third parties, including clients and suppliers for technical problem resolution on a 24x7 basis;


• Undertaking any other related tasks as required by management.
