Finance Manager

We are looking for a Finance Manager to assume responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Finance department, ensuring that the company’s financial records are always up to date leading to the timely preparation of accurate monthly financial reports to assist the leadership team in making correct financial decisions.

Role

• Preparation of management accounts.


• Quarterly VAT computation and submission of VAT returns.


• Ensure timely and accurate accounting.


• Liaising with banks.


• Creating and updating finance procedures.


• Ensure adherence to existing internal controls.


• Identifying areas of improvement in financial processes.


• Postings of journal entries.


• Processing supplier payments.


• Perform reconciliations including bank, stock, payroll and billing.


• Perform month-end closure procedures.


• Assist in annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors.


• Assisting with the submission of monthly information.


• Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting processes.


• Carrying out other duties as required by the CFO.

Ideal Requirements

• 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role.


• Fully qualified as an accountant.


• Strong planning, organisation, interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to lead and coach team members.


• Commitment to quality, organisational ethics, integrity and compliance.


• Comfortable navigating through grey areas without clear solutions.


• Attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities.


• Self-starter with good time management skills.


• Experience with Shireburn Financial Manager is considered an asset.
