Assistant Installer

In this role you will assist in the wiring and installations of extra-low voltage (ELV) systems and in setting and configuring such systems to clients’ requirements. You will also carry out maintenance routines and be involved in the upgrade of security equipment including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms and any other related equipment which falls under the Low Voltage Scheme.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Technician in the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.


• Making preparations for installations by using appropriate power tools.


• Assist with general site preparation.


• Ensure that all conduit and wire runs and installations meet expected quality standards.


• Assist in the completion of installation reports and paperwork.


• Maintain tool management standards.


• Travel to clients’ residences or business premises to carry out installations and repairs.

Ideal requirements

• Experience in a similar or related role such as in maintenance.


• Possession of a valid driving licence.


• Ability to use power tools.


• Be physically fit.
