Accounting Manager

Our client, a leading professional services firm in Malta, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager (full-time, Malta-based) to join them and manage a stable and diverse client portfolio, whilst expertly guiding and mentoring your team.

What you'll do:

• Supervise and mentor a team of Junior Accountants (up to 5 professionals), ensuring that they support you in your work, as well as developing their skills
• Manage and oversee the client portfolio, guiding them through achieving excellence, as well as acting as a trusted advisor and solution provider to them
• Technical remit: client accounting, management accounts, payroll and bookkeeping oversight

What you'll need:

• ACCA qualified / Accounting degree or equivalent
• CPA Warrant or equivalent
• Practical experience: At least three years of experience in client accounting and knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory / statutory requirements / obligations of Maltese companies
• Technical skills: Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and V Lookups. Experience with XERO accounting software would be a distinct advantage.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
