Production Planner

Due to recent growth, we are seeking the addition of a Production Planner to our team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for daily production planning, inventory availability, labour requirements and logistics.


• To ensure a planning schedule is maintained to meet the needs of the customer and the business.


• Working closely with the Operations and Customer Services teams to create the most efficient plan meeting the demands of the customer whilst keeping WIP within the business targets.


• Instant resolution of issues such as shortages, spikes and production delays that may influence on-time delivery.


• Strengthen systems to guarantee production schedules aligned with set targets and budgets.


• Recognise opportunities for improvement.


• Create, maintain and report set KPI’s to assist effective decision-making in the organisation.


• Support where appropriate any site projects, identifying process inefficiencies and driving optimisation to deliver increased productivity.


• Work to improve the current IT system to add value to the production / planning process.

Requirements:

• Conversant with MS office applications, particularly proficient using pivot tables, formulas and data manipulation in Excel.


• Preferably knowledgeable in MRP / ERP systems.


• Strong communication skills.


• Ability to work in a team.


• Self-motivated and ability to work on his / her own without constant supervision.


• Fluency both in English and Maltese languages.
