Carlo Gavazzi Malta is currently looking for a Process Engineer to join our Quality Process team, with excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and a continuous improvement mindset.

Carlo Gavazzi Malta is currently looking for a Process Engineer to join our Quality Process team, with excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and a continuous improvement mindset.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities of the Process Engineer include but are not limited to:
- Improve and maintain existing production processes to deliver right-first-time products to meet a demanding customer-based production schedule
- Define and maintain process Quality Control Plans in order to better control the manufacturing of products and meet the specified quality objectives
- Make use of Lean and Six Sigma tools in order to optimise process flow and functions, focus on waste elimination, continuous improvements and establish more robust processes
- Introduction and maintenance of SPCs for key manufacturing processes on the shop-floor, to monitor and evaluate processes and react to process deviations accordingly
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to process and quality
- Analyse existing and new processes to devise efficient ways how to introduce cost-justified automation thereby reducing labour and product cost and improve manufacturing quality
- Run Design of Experiment (DOE) trials and provide reports related to process improvements and/or the introduction of new raw material
- Assist Process and Automation teams during the Industrialisation phase of New Products Introduction (NPI) to help ensure milestones are delivered on time
Key Requirements of the Process Engineer:
- The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical Engineering graduate
- Team player with a positive attitude, self-motivated, analytical and have solid communication skills
- Methodical problem solver, able to initiate, plan and execute process improvement projects
- Having a customer-oriented attitude to always strive for better quality process and products
- Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and able to put them into practice
- Excellent IT skills including Excel and basic use of CAD software
- Preferably with manufacturing experience in Surface Mount and Wire Bonding Technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is a must
