As Customer Due Diligence Manager you will oversee a team of over 75 multilingual staff members at our office based in Malta.

The Role
The role requires the day-to-day management of a large team within the Customer Due Diligence department in conjunction with other department managers in the completion of further due diligence reports and subsequently make risk-based decisions on customer accounts from an AML / CTF and safer gambling perspective.

You will be expected to have an excellent knowledge of current AML / CTF policies and procedures throughout all jurisdictions where bet365 is licenced and be able to make well-informed decisions based on the information which is presented to you in report format.
You should have excellent attention to detail and experience within investigation and risk assessment of customer accounts as well as the ability to organise, motivate and develop an operational department.

The position is full time and the successful applicant will be required to work any five days from seven, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Operational management experience within the online gambling sector.

  • Knowledge of AML / CTF safer gambling requirements within the online gambling sector.

  • Experience of safer gambling practices.

  • The ability to motivate and manage staff, providing coaching and feedback in an effective manner.

  • Capacity to plan, prioritise and manage departmental workload.

  • AML / CTF Qualifications such as ICA certification.

  • Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing further due diligence reports and making risk-based decisions on customer accounts.

  • Investigating accounts requiring due diligence checks including transactional analysis and reviewing documentation pertaining to the source of funds.

  • Continuously improving the AML / CTF practices across all jurisdictions.

  • Managing the day-to-day office of over 75 multilingual staff.

  • Developing Customer Due Diligence Deputy Managers who in turn can develop teams within the Customer Due Diligence department.

  • Supporting senior management including the Head of AML in the ongoing development of robust AML / CTF practices and procedures.

  • Liaising with other operational managers where required to collaborate on projects.

  • Overseeing recruitment campaigns and subsequent training and development of staff members.

  • Identifying any gaps within departmental processes and suggest business changes to senior management.
