Ranging from software-only product offers to the provision of a fully-managed sports betting platform stack, Altenar offers proven stability coupled with a flexible and personalised service. Our software is developed and operated in-house, whilst being powered by premium quality data feeds.
The role
We are actively developing and invite an DevOps Engineer to our DevOps team. The DevOps team plays a key role in our technology team, participates in the company's product development process and is involved in various aspects of the development lifecycle with a focus on process automation.
The DevOps Engineer is part of the collective within Altenar that uses DevOps practices and must be an effective communicator, and able to collaborate across teams using processes such as the Architecture Review and other peer review. The role requires the person to be fanatical about design and documentation and able to develop a deep understanding of the system’s norm to allow successful complex troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain hybrid infrastructure (VMWare + Google Cloud)
- Troubleshoot production environments
- Develop and improve the DevOps stack of tools (Kubernetes, Helm, Flux, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubespray, Ansible etc.)
- Automate testing and deploy to Dev Stage Prod environments
- Develop and implement Kubernetes Best Practices such as PSP, Network Policy, Image Vulnerability Scanners etc.
Qualifications
- Real experience with Kubernetes - the ability to deploy a production ready cluster
- Experience building pipelines with jenkins / Azure DevOps / teamcity or other CI / CD systems
- Experience with messaging systems (NATS, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
