Process Quality Engineer

Abertax Quality Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Process Quality Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate should be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from the University of Malta or equivalent.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Improve process yields and machine uptime.


• Participate in troubleshooting of production machinery together with the maintenance team.


• Work together with the Production Supervisor to ensure on-time deliveries.


• Ensure finished goods are of good quality.


• Give and demonstrate one-point lessons to operators.


• Collaborate with all other departments to identify and solve quality issues.


• Comply with ISO 9001 requirements.


• Understand customer requirements and ensure that these are met.


• Extract and analyse production data for improvements.


• Participate in incoming goods inspection.


• Setting up production equipment according to quality standards.


• Promote EHS awareness throughout the factory.


• Participate in the commissioning of new production equipment.

Requirements:

• Degree in mechanical / electrical engineering.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.


• Be proactive and with a hands-on approach.


• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements is considered an asset.


• Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset, but training will be given.
