Purchasing & Supply Chain Executive

VJ Salomone Pharma is a specialist in logistics, distribution and marketing of pharmaceuticals and medical devices for some of the world’s leading companies. As part of our expansion and development programme, the company is seeking to recruit a full-time Purchasing and Supply Chain Executive.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchasing and Supply Chain Executive to join our team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities with Brand Managers, sourcing and negotiating quotations from suppliers, managing inbound shipments, and ensuring accurate cost and invoice processing through our ERP system.  The role also includes overseeing contract warehousing operations and related billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing and stock replenishment with Brand Managers.

• Source quotations, negotiate with suppliers, and issue purchase orders.

• Manage inbound shipments, delivery schedules, and related documentation.

• Process supplier, freight, and warehousing costs accurately through the ERP system.

• Coordinate contract warehousing and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records.

• Work with internal teams and external partners to improve service, efficiency, and costs.

Requirements

• A diploma or Degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field.

• At least two years' experience in purchasing, logistics, procurement, or supply chain.

• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Good numerical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

• A proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities.

• Strong communication skills and fluency in Maltese and English.

Previous experience in a similar position will be considered an asset.
