From the lively heart of Gzira, including 115 The Strand Hotel, Urban Rooms, Strand Suites, Bookbites Café, and Strand Café, to the boutique charm of The Cumberland Boutique Hotel in Valletta and the modern comfort of The Regional Hotel between Sliema and Gzira, our focus is on delivering quality, comfort, and outstanding service.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and hands-on General Maintenance team member to help keep our properties operating at the highest standards. This role is essential in ensuring our hotels, restaurants, and guest areas remain safe, functional, and well-maintained while supporting improvement projects across our expanding portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine inspections across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure smooth operation and identify potential issues early.

• Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests and urgent repairs to minimise disruptions and maintain guest comfort.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment faults and maintenance issues using practical problem-solving skills.

• Conduct regular property inspections to identify repair needs, safety concerns, and areas for improvement.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance works, inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing.

• Work closely with departments such as Housekeeping and Front Office to resolve maintenance-related matters and support smooth day-to-day operations.

• Carry out ad hoc duties and maintenance tasks as required by the business.

The potential candidate will ideally possess the following skills and qualities

• Solid experience in plumbing and electrical maintenance or a minimum MQF Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical maintenance.

• A valid Enemalta License A and B. A License B qualification in refrigeration is a plus.

• A valid driving license.

• A clean conduct record.

• Strong attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
