RLR Yachting is looking for a sharp, organised and commercially minded individual to join our team on a full-time basis.
Initially, you will train within our retail chandlery and clothing store to develop a strong understanding of our products, systems and customer service standards. As your experience grows, your primary focus will transition into supporting and managing our expanding Crew Uniform division, coordinating high-value uniform projects for yachts and marine businesses from initial enquiry through to final delivery.
Career growth opportunity:
This position offers a clear pathway into a project and client management role within our growing Crew Uniform division.
Following your initial training, you will progressively take responsibility for coordinating multiple client uniform projects simultaneously, ensuring every project is delivered accurately, on time and to the highest standard.
The role will involve working directly with yacht crews, captains, management companies, corporate clients, suppliers and branding partners. You will be expected to take ownership of projects, solve problems, manage competing priorities and build strong long-term client relationships.
Future responsibilities include:
Managing crew uniform projects from initial enquiry through quotation, sourcing, branding, production and final delivery.
Acting as a key point of contact for yacht crews, captains, management companies and corporate clients.
Understanding client requirements and recommending the right products and solutions.
Coordinating suppliers, branding partners and internal teams to ensure projects run smoothly.
Assisting with product selection, purchasing and sourcing to deliver the best solution for each client.
Monitoring project timelines, budgets and order progress while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Building long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities to develop existing accounts.
Supporting the retail operation as required during peak periods.
Who we're looking for:
We are less concerned with finding someone who already knows everything about yachting and more interested in finding someone who learns quickly, thinks clearly and takes ownership.
This role would suit someone who is:
Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
A confident communicator who enjoys dealing with clients and suppliers.
Naturally curious and interested in understanding how things work.
A practical problem-solver who looks for solutions rather than excuses.
Commercially minded, with an interest in sales, business and client relationships.
Comfortable working with quotations, budgets, deadlines and detailed information.
Proactive and capable of taking responsibility for a project from beginning to end.
Keen to develop a career in project management and the yachting industry.
Competencies:
Microsoft Excel.
Canva Pro.
GDrive.
Gmail.
Experience on SIMS is an asset.
Internet Savvy.
Written and spoken English must be excellent; additional languages are an asset also.
Previous experience in project coordination, account management, purchasing, sales, retail or the yachting industry would be an advantage, but the ability to learn, think independently and take responsibility is more important than having followed a particular career path.
This role is ideal for someone who wants more than a conventional retail position and is looking for the opportunity to develop into a key player within a specialised, international industry.
Commission on your own sales will come into play following the successful completion of your probation period, providing the opportunity to earn additional bonuses based on individual sales performance. Performance will be re-evaluated annually.
If you enjoy solving problems, dealing with people, taking ownership and seeing a project through from start to finish, we'd like to hear from you.
