Product & Process Support Engineer

ProMinent, a world-leading manufacturer in components for water treatment and chemical fluid handling systems, is currently seeking to recruit key personnel within its manufacturing plant in Malta. 

The person will have a supporting role within the sensors production department, both in terms of product-related developments as well as with respect to process organisation.

The key responsibilities will be

• Taking responsibility for identifying and analysing both product and process-related improvements in line with corporate objectives within the department of sensors production, including contributing to feasibility studies, both of a technical and financial nature.

• Performing an R&D support role by executing projects related to product analysis as well as improvement investigations, including liaising with other parties within the company and external to the company.

• Implementing production process improvement projects and acting as coordinator wherever necessary, in order to optimise productivity and quality in the sensors production processes, in coordination with the company’s industrial and process engineering teams.

• Be part of the team responsible for formulating and executing procedures to facilitate the coordination of product and process improvement projects.

• Be responsible for the industrialisation and product/ process serial production release in coordination with all parties involved.

• Act as a project leader wherever necessary, when coming to address any underlying product or process issues, root causes and subsequent solution development.

Key competencies

• Have a degree in Engineering. 

• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or related role.

• Be willing to work in a small team with shared responsibilities and to be flexible in terms of focus.

• Be target-oriented, organised and able to ensure that projects under his / her responsibility and effectively managed to establish deadlines.

The successful candidate will also be expected to travel abroad when necessary in order to facilitate coordination with the R&D and Industrial Engineering teams at the company’s Head Offices.
