Cash Supervisor

The Cashier Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the Cashier’s team.

Job duties

• Maintain a positive work environment for all cashiers

• Resolve cash tills at the end of every shift

• Generate an accurate till report for each register

• Manage and perform all check-out functions on a daily basis

• Communicate clearly and openly with customers

• Manage the check-out area and ensure stations remain clean and efficiently run

• Respond to cashiers' requests for price checks and other functions for customer service

• Listen to customer complaints and refer them to the Shop Manager when required

• Ensure all stations have adequate cash and change at all times

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer service associates

• Ensures adequate cashier coverage during peak times, lunch breaks, shift changes and other busy times as necessary

• Ability to diffuse and respond professionally to stressful situations and difficult people

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times

• Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of staff

• Ability to take initiative to plan, organise, coordinate and perform work in various situations and follow through with projects to conclusion

The ideal candidate should

• Be fluent in the Maltese and English languages

• Have excellent written, oral, and verbal communication skills, including customer service skills

• Must be computer literate

• Highly motivated and well organised

• Possess experience in a similar role within the retail industry
