Job summary 

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Porter to be the first smile guests see at Hyatt Regency Malta. Whether greeting arrivals, assisting with luggage, or sharing tips about the area, you’ll help create seamless and welcoming guest experiences from the moment they step through our doors.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Warmly welcome guests on arrival and assist with their luggage.

• Safely transport, store, and retrieve luggage with care.

• Escort guests to their rooms and provide brief overviews of hotel services and amenities.

• Work closely with the Front Office and Concierge for smooth luggage handling.

• Keep luggage storage areas clean, organised, and secure.

• Handle special requests such as storing or delivering luggage efficiently.

• Load / unload luggage from vehicles or shuttles quickly and safely.

• Report any lost, damaged, or delayed luggage following hotel policies.

• Ensure luggage equipment is in good working condition.

• Jump in to support colleagues during busy periods.

• Maintain a professional appearance in line with Hyatt standards.

• Follow all safety, health, and security regulations.

• Take part in training and development opportunities.

• Go the extra mile to enhance the guest experience.

• Be a go-to expert on everything Hyatt Regency Malta has to offer.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a five-star hotel or similar hospitality setting.

• Fluent in spoken and written English; an additional European language is a plus.

• Excellent communication and guest service skills.

• Strong multitasking and time management abilities.

• A proactive, positive, and team-spirited attitude.
