Accounting Senior

We are currently seeking an Accounting Senior to join our team.

You will be working on a range of tasks, which will include:

• Carrying out bookkeeping and preparing periodic management accounts

• Preparation of VAT returns and recap statements

• Preparation of ad hoc reports

• Review of work done by Accounting Assistants, including VAT returns and management accounts

• Providing guidance and feedback to Accounting Assistants

• Preparation of closing off workings for Audit

• Actively manage the client relationship

In addition, you are knowledgeable and have work experience dealing with:

• Understanding and application of multicurrency accounting

With experience gained at Forvis Mazars Malta, your role will, in time, develop to the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards as well as the preparation and review of tax computations.

The successful candidate will form part of the Firm’s Outsourcing team and will report to the Partner/s and / or the Outsourcing Management team. Qualifications

You are a team player, self-motivated and able to work independently. You possess multi-tasking and analytical skills as well as an eye for detail. You are able to deliver tasks effectively in a timely manner and are used to working to some very strict deadlines. You possess excellent inter- and intrapersonal skills. You are able to manage tasks and people. You are computer literate and have a very good working knowledge of MS Excel, especially formulae and pivot tables. You are able to work under pressure. You are a fully qualified professional in ACCA or ACA, or have an Accountancy degree and have a minimum of three years’ work experience in an Accounting role. Applicants in the final stages of qualifying may be considered.
