Manager

Fondazzjoni Dar il-Hena is an organization dedicated to providing shelter, care and support to individuals experiencing homelessness. We invite applications from interested individuals for the role of Manager to oversee all areas in the running of three homeless shelters, on a full-time basis.

The Role

The position of Manager requires the selected individual to assume comprehensive responsibility for the operational and administrative aspects of all units. This role involves meticulous oversight of the services provided by all units to service users, ensuring these services meet the highest standards and addressing any challenges promptly and professionally. Furthermore, the Manager must ensure that service delivery aligns with the organization's ethos of care and compassion.

The Manager is also tasked with developing and managing budget projections and financial reports to support the sustainability of shelter programs. A critical aspect of this role is collaborating with stakeholders, community partners, and government agencies to advocate for resources and support for the shelters. Additionally, the Manager must ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and best practices in homeless shelter management.

The Manager is directly accountable to the board of administrators of Fondazzjoni Dar il-Hena.

The Person

This role necessitates a charismatic and energetic person with effective leadership qualities and managerial skills. Individuals interested to apply shall also meet the following criteria:

• Possess a degree in a social wellbeing subject and/or management;

• Be highly organized, reliable, and have a strong aptitude for teamwork;

• Be mature with sound moral values;

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication in both Maltese and English;

• Be IT literate;

• Possess a clean driving licence;

• Previous experience in leadership in a similar position would be considered an asset.
