Cleaner

Fondazzjoni Dar il-Hena is currently seeking applications for the position of Cleaner on a full-time basis. The Cleaner is directly accountable to the Head of Home of the emergency shelters. 

Responsibilities:  

• Clean all areas of the designated facility, which includes dusting, sweeping,  vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc. 

• Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete cleaning tasks without direct supervision.

• To document cleaning activities where provided.

• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks when the need arises.

• Disposing of trash from bins and containers.

• Help with everyday washing and cleaning laundry.

• Cleaning windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.

• Maintaining and upkeep of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products.

• Help in cleaning other homes when needed.

• Assisting social support workers in their main tasks during lunchtime. 

• To attend and participate in staff meetings. Management might also advise employees to participate in training sessions. 

Requirement:  

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.  

• Proven experience of working in Malta. 

• Able to communicate well in English and / or Maltese.
