Shipping Agency Representative

Focal Maritime Services is a well-established shipping agency experiencing steady growth in business. We are currently seeking to recruit a Shipping Representative within our Agency department.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the organisation of the procedures for the arrival, berthing and departure of the vessels.

• Liaison with principals, clients and service providers.

• Organising the operational aspects for the loading and discharging of cargoes, including the preparation of documentation related thereto.

• Checking and control of invoices.

• Preparation of disbursement accounts.

• Attending to vessels calling at Malta under the agency of Focal Maritime.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Knowledge of shipping terms and conditions.

• Flexibility to work after office hours, including nighttime and weekends.

• An adequate standard of education, ideally equivalent to an advanced level.

• Computer literacy.

• Driving licence.

   

Applicants must be residents in Malta.

Remuneration, terms, and conditions are relative to experience and qualifications.
