Summer TEFL English Teacher

EF Malta Summer School is hiring English teachers for summer 2027 for our international language students aged 13 - 16. We offer a fixed–term contract between June and August 2027 / 6 days per week. Teachers may be scheduled for up to two teaching blocks per day, either as:

• Single banking: 2 hours, 40 minutes per day, or

• Double banking: 5 hours, 20 minutes per day.

Your schedule may vary from week to week. Some weeks you may double bank, and others you may single bank or teach fewer blocks. You'll be able to share your availability flexibly, and we'll work with you to plan your schedule

Responsibilities

•  Deliver general English classes using the EF methodology, sprinkled with your own touch

•  Next to planning and teaching classes, you are also responsible for tracking attendance and   attending teacher meetings

•  Facilitating testing during the course, including scoring tests

•  General classroom management

•  Participate in peer observation programs

•  Act as an ambassador for EF

Requirements

•  Available to work in Summer 2027

•  TEFL, TESOL or CELTA (or equivalent) qualified 

•  Excellent communication skills 

•  Sensitive to the needs of international students 

•  Demonstrates a high level of customer service

•  Comfortable working with teens (age 13 - 16 years old)

•  Has strong administrative and organisational skills   

•  Right to work in Malta

•  C2 level of English

In line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive (Directive (EU) 2023/970) and legal Notice 173 of 2026, the initial pay range for this role is €11 to €18.50 gross per hour, depending on qualifications.
