Project Manager

DALA Properties Limited is a property development company operating in Malta and is seeking to engage, on a full-time basis, an experienced and hands-on Project Manager (Property Development) to oversee the execution and progress of its construction and development projects.

The selected candidate will be responsible for regularly visiting construction sites, monitoring the progress and quality of works, identifying defects and outstanding requirements, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure that projects are executed according to approved plans, specifications and agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site visits to inspect the progress and quality of construction works, identifying defects, discrepancies and outstanding works requiring corrective action.

• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and suppliers involved in the execution of assigned projects.

• Monitor construction works against approved drawings, technical specifications, project schedules and agreed quality standards.

• Maintain project programmes, monitor milestones, identify potential delays and propose appropriate corrective measures.

• Follow up on site observations, snagging lists and outstanding works to ensure their satisfactory completion.

• Review progress claims and contractor deliverables within the authority delegated by Management.

• Attend and actively participate in site meetings to address project progress and operational matters.

• Coordinate procurement requirements and material deliveries with the relevant personnel and suppliers to avoid disruption to construction activities.

• Identify and promptly report significant workmanship, safety, contractual, programme or cost-related concerns to Management and the relevant responsible persons.

• Maintain appropriate project documentation and support inspections, defect rectification and the successful completion and handover of assigned projects.

Requirements:

• Proven practical experience in supervising or managing construction works and overseeing projects on site.

• Sound knowledge of building construction methods, materials, finishes and quality workmanship.

• Experience in coordinating contractors, organising site activities and monitoring construction schedules.

• Ability to identify construction defects, maintain snagging records and ensure effective follow-up.

• Experience within the Maltese construction and property development industry will be considered an advantage.

• Possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel regularly between construction sites.

• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and manage multiple site priorities.

• A proactive, hands-on and results-oriented approach, with particular attention to detail and quality standards.
