We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Financial Controller to join the Finance team of a multi-branded hotel cluster located in St. Julian’s, comprising Radisson Blu St. Julian’s, Corinthia St. George’s Bay, and Verdi Marina St. George’s Bay. Additional hotels may be assigned as the cluster evolves.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role plays a key part in supporting the financial management, controls, and reporting across the cluster, working closely with hotel management and operational teams.

The Role

The Assistant Financial Controller supports the Director of Finance in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong financial discipline across all assigned properties.

This is a hands-on, operational role, requiring regular on-property presence and close collaboration with Finance and Operational teams in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts in line with corporate standards and USALI

  • Monitor and analyse revenues, costs, GOP, EBITDA, cash flow, and working capital

  • Maintain balance sheet integrity through timely reconciliations and controls

  • Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes

  • Prepare variance analysis and financial insights for management review

  • Work closely with Hotel Managers and Heads of Department to reinforce cost control and financial discipline

  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with policies and statutory requirements

  • Lead, guide, and support property-based finance teams

  • Contribute to cluster-wide initiatives and consistent financial practices across brands

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior or supervisory finance role, ideally within hospitality or a multi-property environment

  • ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Strong knowledge of hotel financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Working knowledge of USALI and hotel financial controls

  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and operationally minded

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to support commercial decision-making

  • Professional integrity, discretion, and a collaborative working style

  • Flexibility to work on-property and adjust hours to meet operational and reporting needs
