Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to our guests, maintaining a clean and organised bar, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages

  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.

  • Develop and suggest new cocktail recipes.

  • Ensure proper garnishing of drinks.

• Customer service

  • Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner.

  • Take beverage orders from guests and servers.

  • Provide recommendations and answer questions regarding drinks.

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any issues or complaints.

• Bar maintenance

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.

  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age.

  • Follow health and safety regulations.

• Financial transactions

  • Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.

  • Balance cash receipts and manage the cash register.

• Team collaboration

  • Work closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure a smooth operation.

  • Assist in training new bar staff as needed.

  • Work closely with the other departments to ensure a streamlined experience.

• Event support

  • Assist with private events and functions held at the restaurant.

  • Prepare special drinks for events as required.

Qualifications

• Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high-end restaurant or bar.

• Skills

  • Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks. Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Certifications

  • A valid bartending license or certification is preferred or equal experience.
