Job Overview
The Consumer Foods Sales Lead is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets. This position involves strategising, motivating, coaching, and mentoring the Sales team while implementing sales strategies that drive business growth. The chosen candidate will work closely with senior management to align sales goals with organisational objectives and foster a high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets.
Set clear sales targets and performance metrics for the team.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals.
Analyse sales data and metrics to optimise the sales approach
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Report on sales goals, target achievements, and areas for improvement.
Ensure that all sales staff are well-equipped to meet their targets.
Monitor and recommend adjustments to selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand
Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalising on market opportunities; improving product marketability; coordinating new product development.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
