Sales Assistant

Do you love dealing with people, enjoy selling, and take pride in giving every customer a great experience?

We're looking for a Sales Assistant to join our shop team and be the face of our business. You'll welcome and serve walk-in clients and handle enquiries over the phone, WhatsApp and social media. You'll also help keep the shop running smoothly and share ideas to promote it and grow our customer base.

This is a varied, hands-on role for friendly, proactive people who like to take initiative and enjoy working as part of a small, close-knit team.

Think you're the right fit? Here's what we're looking for

• At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service;

• Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills;

• A very good command of the English language, both spoken and written;

• Confidence using Email, WhatsApp and social media platforms to communicate with customers;

• A team-player attitude and willingness to help wherever needed;

• The ability to handle physical tasks such as stacking and moving stock;

• Reliability, flexibility and a strong work ethic.

Bonus points if you also have

• The ability to speak Maltese, as we serve many local customers;

• Sales experience or a track record of meeting targets;

• Experience managing business social media pages;

• Creative ideas for promoting a shop and attracting new customers;

Some of your key responsibilities will include

• Welcoming and serving walk-in customers, providing product advice and closing sales;

• Offering customers refreshments such as tea, coffee and water;

• Handling customer calls and WhatsApp enquiries promptly and professionally;

• Replying to social media comments and messages;

• Coming up with ideas to promote the shop and attract new clients;

• Cleaning, stacking and organising the shop and adjacent store;

• Keeping the shop clean, tidy and well presented at all times;
