AIM Enterprises Ltd is a reputable name in the automation sector, known for delivering engineered systems and standard components with an impeccable reputation. We are looking for a trustworthy and self-sufficient professional to take full ownership of our accounts and administration.

Why Apply?

  • Total autonomy: This is a position of high trust. You will report directly to the Directors with no external supervision over your daily work.

  • Ownership: You won't just be entering data; you will manage the entire cycle and assist with financial forecasting.

  • Stability: Join a company with a solid reputation in the industry.

The Role

As the sole person responsible for our finance function, you will handle the full cycle from data entry to year-end audit preparation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial management: Managing the full payables and receivables cycles, including active debtor chasing and processing payments via HSBCNet.

  • Banking and cash: Performing daily bank reconciliations and managing the Petty Cash fund and deposits.

  • Compliance and tax: Coordinating with external accountants to ensure VAT and Tax deadlines are met and leading the year-end audit preparation.

  • Reporting and analysis: Updating cash flow forecasts and analysing company expenses against budgets to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Office and fleet admin: Managing internal purchasing, vendor relationships, and the company car fleet (insurance, VRT, servicing).

What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for accuracy, integrity, and discipline. Since you will be self-auditing your own work, attention to detail is non-negotiable.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a transactional accounting role. Experience in a standalone role is highly preferred.

  • Qualifications: AAT Diploma (Level 4), MCAST Advanced Diploma, or a Matriculation A' Level in Accounting supported by significant experience.

  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. Experience with Sage Evolution and HSBCNet is a strong asset.

  • Languages: Excellent command of both Maltese and English is required for effective supplier and client communication.

  • Integrity: A clean police conduct certificate is mandatory.
