Job Description
A vacancy has arisen within the Purchasing department for a Logistics and Administration Officer.
The chosen candidate will provide support to the Purchasing team.
Duties:
- Requesting freight quotations, adjudicating and placing purchase orders
- Tracking shipments from collection points until the warehouse
- Checking shipping and commercial documents
- Local purchases
- Preparation of payments to suppliers
- Filing statutory and internal reports / declarations
- Co-ordinating inbound shipments with the Logistics department
- Preparation of RFQs
- Other daily duties according to the needs within the team as may be required
Requirements:
- Preferably A’ level standard of education or experience in a similar position
- Computer literate
- Be organized
- Ability to work within a team
- Speaking and reading both English and Maltese
- Speaking and reading Italian is considered an asset
