Job Description

A vacancy has arisen within the Purchasing department for a Logistics and Administration Officer.

The chosen candidate will provide support to the Purchasing team.

Duties:

  • Requesting freight quotations, adjudicating and placing purchase orders
  • Tracking shipments from collection points until the warehouse
  • Checking shipping and commercial documents
  • Local purchases
  • Preparation of payments to suppliers
  • Filing statutory and internal reports / declarations
  • Co-ordinating inbound shipments with the Logistics department
  • Preparation of RFQs
  • Other daily duties according to the needs within the team as may be required

Requirements:

  • Preferably A’ level standard of education or experience in a similar position
  • Computer literate
  • Be organized
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Speaking and reading both English and Maltese
  • Speaking and reading Italian is considered an asset
