We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Human Resources and Recruitment Officer to support the function of the Human Resources department through the duties outlined below together with any other tasks as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.

The HR and Recruitment Officer is responsible for assisting the HR Manager in providing a comprehensive HR Administration service, ensuring a seamless onboarding / offboarding experience, and coordinating training and development programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the daily administrative HR duties of the Company and provide support to the HR Manager to ensure all employee data is properly stored for easy access

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR function and duties

  • Support in the recruitment cycle - post adverts, job profiles and descriptions, set interviews, shortlist CVs, reference checks

  • Process all onboarding and HR documents - offer letters, contracts, jobs plus engagement forms and CFR documents, termination, and monitor employee records maintenance

  • Managing identita portal and other relevant documentation related to work permit

  • Prepare orientation materials and coordinate orientation sessions

  • Keep a record of expiry dates of probationary periods and contracts of and liaise with the respective HOD to obtain feedback

  • Handle the distribution of uniforms and security access

  • Collaborate with managers to support the employee offboarding process

  • Assist in the drafting of policies and procedures of the HR department

  • Assist in the drafting of internal memos and other employee notifications

  • Support performance management by tracking goals, coordinating performance reviews, assisting managers in addressing issues and implementing improvement plans

  • Identify training needs based on performance evaluation, organise and schedule training sessions

  • Assist in the coordination and planning of social events


Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification will be considered an asset

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience working within the HR department

  • Strong understanding of HR practices and Maltese employment law

  • Able to handle confidential information

  • Possess a clean driving license

  • Computer literacy (MS Office tools)

  • Speaks Maltese and English
