Job Description

Job Brief
To act as a point of reference and organise kitchen activities on a planned weekly basis ensuring the smooth running of the workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Menu planning
  • Weekly food orders
  • Adhering to allocated budgets
  • Stocktaking
  • Food preparation
  • General cleaning duties
  • Maintaining a clean kitchen environment and comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen
  • Keeping the boarding common room kitchenette well replenished
  • Act as a point of reference for staff and boarders alike in food-related queries
  • Ensuring a good communication level with the Boarding Manager and Bursar
  • Make sure that the boarding kitchen is in conformity with HACCP and other relevant regulations
  • To train kitchen personnel when the need arises

Requirements:

  • Proven ability in kitchen management
  • Experience in food preparation of a medium-sized kitchen
  • Good knowledge and experience in Asian cooking is considered an asset
  • All relevant certifications such as food handling etc.

Salary Package:

  • Between €25,000 and €29,000 per annum, depending on experience
